The first S. Gurmukh Singh Raina Memorial Punjabi Fiction Award: 2023 was given to Jang S. Varman at K L Sehgal Hall, Writers' Club, Jammu on 4th December, 2024 for his first collection of Punjabi short stories ‘Do Ghatt Terahn Kahaniyan’. The award will be given to encourage new Punjabi fiction writers of Jammu & Kashmir. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 11000/-, a shawl, a citation and a memento.
