Punjabi
Lekhak Sabha (PLS), Jammu organized its Fortnightly Literary Meet at Tagore
Academy, Rani Talab, Digiana, Jammu on Sunday, the 12th November, 2017. S. Surinder Singh Seerat, a well
known Punjabi Ghazal writer, novelist and short story writer, hailing from
Kashmir and now settled in Callifornia, presided over the meeting.
Dr.
Monojit, the newly elected President of Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu welcomed
all the guests and writers. He expressed his gratitude to the members for
electing him as President of PLS. on this occasion he made some important
announcements in respect of executive body and execution of the programmes. S.
Amar Singh Kuka and Smt. Surinder Neer were nominated as Sr. Vice- President
ans Vice President respectively. The followings were nominated as the members
of the working committee of Punjabi Lekhak Sabha: Bhupinder Singh Bhargav,
Ichhupal Singh, Pyasa Anjum, T S Premee, Resham Kaur Resham and Swami
Antarneerav. The other nominations are as follows: Dr. Baljeet Singh Raina as
General Secretary, Pritam Singh Anjaan as Literary Secretary, Hardeep Singh
Deep as Organizing Secretary, Jang S. Verman as Press Secretary and Devinder
Singh Vishavnagrik as Treasurer.

Raina, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik,
Pritam Singh Anjaan, Amar Singh Kuka, Piara Singh Dhanjal, Balwinder Singh
Deep, Harjit Singh Uppal, Resham Kaur Resham, Swami Antarneerav, Suraj Singh
Suraj, Ajit Singh Mastana, Sagar, Surinder Singh Seerat was conducted in the meeting. In their poetry, the
poets reflected their concern about the issues of social awareness, values and
satire on the prevailing conditions and the political system.
Discussion
on the items presented, took place n which. S. Surinder Singh Seerat
consolidated his expressions on the literary items presented during the meet.

Baljeet Singh Raina extended the Vote of Thanks.
