Punjabi
Lekhak Sabha (Regd.), Jammu on 28th May, 2017 conducted its fortnightly literary meet at
Tagore Academy, Rani Talab, Digiana, Jammu. Hardeep Singh Deep, President,
IPTA, J&K Chapter & a renowned Punjabi short story writer presided over
the meet.
The
members of the Sabha condoled the death of S. Joginder Singh Mastana, an active
member of the Sabha, Punjabi writer & Retired Inspector in Police
Department. Two minutes silence was observed and the Almighty was prayed to
grant peace to the departed soul and courage to the family members of the
deceased to bear this irreparable loss.
Kavi
Durbar and Story recitation were conducted during the meet. Balwinder Singh
Deep Singh presented his Ghazal and a song. Two somgs were presented by Piara
Singh Dhanjal. Other poets who presented their poetry included Pritam Singh
Anjaan, Resham Kour Resham, Amar Singh Kuka Dr. monojit Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Dr.
Baljeet Raina and Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik. The stories were presented by
Hardeep Singh Deep and Resham Kour Resham with the titles ‘Maan Daan’ and
‘Hello’ respectively. An article was also presented by Pritam Singh Anjaan.
The
April- June issue of quarterly Punjabi magazine ‘Aabru’ was released on this
occasion. Dr. Baljeet Raina, Editor congratulated all the contributors for
publication in the international standardized literary magazine which has now
been put in the approved magazines of the UGC.

Discussions
were held on the items presented during
the meet and Hardeep
Singh Deep, Presiding the Meet, expressed his views in the end of the meet.
