Book Release Function by Yuva Hindi Lekhak Sangh

JAMMU: A book release function was organized by Yuva Hindi Lekhak Sangh, Jammu today at Saigal Hall of the Cultural Academy, Jammu where Sh. Arvinder Sigh Amn, a well known writer & Additional Secretary, Cultural Academy was the Chief guest and Sh. Ramesh Mehta, a veteran Poet and Ex- Secretary, Cultural Academy presided over the function.

The programme started with a welcme note by Sh. Sheikh Mohd. Kaliyan, a well known poet of the state. A poetry book titled ‘Barf Aur Aag’ by Nida Nawaz was released on this occasion. 

Two papers by Prof. Ashok Kumar and Maharaj Krishan Santoshi on the poetry of Nwaz were read out on this occasion. The programme was attended by a large number of intellectuals, writers, artists anf lovers of art & culture. Prominent among the audience included Mssrs Sanjeev Bhasin, Sr. Sanjana Koul, Dr. Pawan Khajuria, Didar Singh, Sr. Nirmal Vinod, Jang S. Verman, Arvind Sharma, Kunwar Shakti Singh, Raj Kumar  Behrupia and others.

Sh. K K Shakir and Smt Shashi Padha were specially honoured by the YUHILE for their achievement of getting National Award by Central Hindi Direcorate, New Delhi for their contribution in the field of Hindi literature.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Raj Kumar Behrupia, a radio and TV programmer.
